A reasonable perspective. The front office space may well be able to weather the y2k storm from a fundamental perspective. Longer term, it's almost as important as e-commerce.

I still think we're in for a bumpy ride in 1999. That said, I own positions in all three vendors, but with very different weightings.

I almost sold my vntv options position last night, thinking that this euphoria was premature. remembering back to Clarify's recovery, the stock (and the company) had several fits and starts on its way to recovering business momentum. If Front office is a good market and vantive management can fix things, there will be just as much upside after the evidence is in as upside post dead cat bounce.

(Translation: if this thing works, it'll go from $18 to $45 just as easily as it bounced from $8 to $13, but with less risk.)

In this frothy market, I think there's time to wait and see.
