Nigel: yes, the Acorn twits have renamed themselves, now Element 13, for silicon; however, my father told me that a dog by any other name is still a dog.
13 is now making set top boxes and trying to model it's business after ARMHY with the IP focus, too; designing for digital television; didn't someone say that was a long way off from a practical market, because of high cost of receivers, limited acceptance by broadcasters, etc.?
Anyway, whats with MIPS; what do I need to know about this; are your referring to the firm as an investment prospect?
My Element 13 shares have recovered to 1/2 of my original purchase price, totally on the back of their remaining holdings in ARMHY stock; meanwhile my ARMHY purchase has appreciated almost 20 % in a few months. I wish Element/Acorn would simply close their doors, try to get a job with ARMHY and distribute the share holdings to the long suffering share holders.
As long as they can sell off a few at a time to finance the next fiasco, I'm doomed.
Hope all go well with you.
Regards,
vocex
