Mark...I hear you. Id be interested in your thoughts re this line of thought: Lets assume Egghead and the others get the logistics right eventually. How much money is there in a business that competes on price? As a software buyer, why do I care who I buy it from? Why shouldnt I use one of the ShopBots to find the best price, availability and delivery terms? The ShopBots will screen and rank for service. Ill never see the Egghead site...never see the ads or whatever else they are building their revenue model on. I agree there are great Internet applications out there. I own a couple which are still private that I believe are terrific. But I do not buy the idea that selling commodities on-line will ever make me, or any of us, rich.
