Ohhh man it is sooo hard to be nice to Paul. Paul I am going to ask you nicely - stick to putting words into your own mouth and not mine. Because you cannot be further from the truth on the following statement. Too many people here like ToySoldier and others still think that engineering a better NOS than MSFT is all Novell has to do. That is completely wrong and has been proven to be wrong. I have made countless strong statements on this board and other boards that NetWare IS NOT the core product for Novell. I will even invite the other regulars on this board to verify or deny that my statement here is accurate. I have said all along that NDS is the core product that Novell should focus ALL of its attention to. The open standards enhancements of NetWare 5 are very important to Novell's success, but, NDS is the key to it all!!!!!!! If you dont believe that Paul, I can send you an email that I sent Eric Schmidt on June 26th, 1998 which made this point very clear. In talking to Eric last week about the email that I sent him in June, he still remembers it and remembers that he went through my email "line-by-line" with his Executive team and he also sent the entire email to his management. This email clearly spelled out the strategy that NetWare or any of Novell's other products must take a second seat to NDS and that Novell must put every effort to communicate why Directory Services makes sense at a business level and that NDS is the only DS now that can deliver these Business benefits. So I will repeat my request to you one more time - DONT PUT YOUR INCORRECT ASSESSMENTS OF MY OPINIONS INTO MY MOUTH. Its almost a form of slander and I dont appreciate it! If there is anyone on this board that is hard to nail down what he actually says and believes - its you. Thanks in advance for respecting my wishes. To the others on this board I am sorry for being pulled into this bickering with Paul but I cannot have someone make slanderous remarks about me - there is a small chance that someone might actually believe Paul.
