Carl, This is from memory but, I recall slightl differect circumstances surrunding the Clean room incident. I understood an employee who had worked in the clean room for AMD had if fact previouly worked for Intel. Apparently the employee dishonored himself by not being honest. I remember AMD taking great efforts and expense to set up a new clean room once the truth was known. Your reason for switching investment vehicle are justifable, but perhaps your statement about Sanders is a little out of line. I remeber having a lenghty telephone converstion covering this issue with AMD's Investor relations dept. Let me put forth a plausible explanation that Sanders comments at the time were to the best of his knowlede true at the time they were made. I not trying to defend Sanders the Col. can do that himself, but Sanders And Team AMD's credibility went up a big notch in my book when the video tape containing Intels detailed plans for making a Pentium chip was turned over to the FBI and ultimatly returned to Intel. Sanders did this inspite of knowing early k-5 efforts were a flop. All's fair in Love War and Business but in the end idividual stockholders and the institutions expect and demand the highest standard in ethical behavior from the guys at the top. P.S. for returning the tape I think Grove owes Sanders and Team AMD andother favor down the "silicon road". Maybe use of "MMX"tm without further squabble would be agreable. What are your thoughts?
