Keep in mind, though, that this is all "micro-news." The macro view on the DRAM business is still that there is industry undercapacity over at least the next year or so and more demand than supply can keep up with. This situation is only likely to get worse, too. Fabs have been cancelled or postponed in Korea and Japan, while industry demand for DRAM's look like it is on a steep climb. The trend is up, and the only time Mr. Rick Berry is likely to see Micron at $55 is on the downside of the current growth cycle...and that's not likely to happen for at least another year, if not more.
