WOW! OSX simply has fallen off a cliff! While my friend Slider does tend to get melodramatic at times with his "buy of the century" claims, this sector is screaming, "Buy me!!!" Only if you believe that oil will be replaced as a fuel, is this not the time to start buying these stocks. I can't imagine much more bad news coming out of this sector. As I type the OSX continues to implode. Who knows how low we go, but at these prices, I would think that any fund manager worth his salt would have to be giving these stocks the big time hairy eyeball.

It's been very interesting seeing how this situation has played out. I thought investors would have dumped many of the internuts by now, looking for more value and safety in stocks. Boy, have I paid for that thinking the last month or so! The whole semi, computer/internet sector remains so overvalued by any means of valuation that I still feel very good about where my investment money is. Not sure at all when sector rotation will occur.

The semiconductor equipment maker industry has been in a severe slump for nearly a year now, yet NVLS and AMAT are near all time highs. The market way back discounted their troubles and they have exploded the last 4 months even though their business is way off from a year ago period. If the market looks a year ahead, I'm not sure why the market is punishing so badly this sector at this point, as most analysts will tell you that oil prices look to rebound nicely in late '99.

Note sure when this sector will turn around, but we aren't far from the bottom IMO. Of course I said this at OSX 60 too <ggg>
