You're path isn't set correctly. These aren't builtin commands,
they're programs in the dos directory. Builtin commands
are CD, DIR, and a few others.

The path is an environment variables that gives an ordered list
of directories which are used to find a file if no path is given.

Navigate to the dos directory (if I recall correctly it's
win98\commands) and all we work, just like DI.

Normally PATH is set in autoexec.bat. Usually something like

SET PATH c:\; c:\win98\commands

Try that from the command line, substituting your win98
directory name. You might check that the commands you want
are in that directory.

How did you get into DOS? If you've edited autoexec.bat
yourself, or if you're booting from a floppy, you have to put
in the path.
