mike , tell your Aston buddy to have da mechanic check the crankshaft sensor aka flywheel sensor . It's signal is used to control ignition timing and fuel injection so if it does not sense motion the engine receives no fuel or spark. This is not an unusual problem but it often baffles da mechanic becuase it may run fine then not start and five minutes later the car starts. mike
