does this mean ALSC owns 864,200 X 28.4%=245,433 shares of BRCM

BRCM closed @ $141
ALSC stake in BRCM is worth = $141 X 245,433 = 34,606,053

Class B Common stock can be converted 1:1 for class A (traded)
