The 4 inches by 1/2 inch size of the Thinphone is taken from gadgetguru.com. I am taking these dimensions with a grain of salt since Q is mum on this but the thickness you heard (8 mm) could be consistent with the 12.5 mm listed on gadgetguru if the earpiece protrudes 4.5 mm. That's almost thin enough to use as a vegemite spreader! The only potential problem is this phone just begs to be stuck in your back pocket. If the case is not rigid enough to withstand the leverage applied while sitting, the returns could be costly.
