The St Petersburg Times just released a article in their business
section on this company. Quite impressive!
Universal Medical Systems advanced diagnostic equipment and fast growth
are gaining attention for the small company on Wall Street.

Paraphrasing a few articles:
Universal Med Systems Inc. makes a one-of-a-kind diagnostic imaging system it says
can detect tumors earlier than other tests can. Also, because the systems light
waves aren`t carcinogenic - unlike X-rays - individuals can be checked more often.
The other product, called CT-Sim, determines the extent of cancerous
tumors and designs radiation treatment that targets an area without destroying healthy tissue,
saving doctors time.
Wall Street is noticing. Lately, trading of the companys shares has increased substancially,
while several small research firms have remommended the stock. Four year old Universal makes and
sells a number of medical products - everything from software that helps compensate for color blindness
to a cuff device that detects vascular disease in the leg. As Universal grows, it hopes
to keep getting more notice. The company which has no long-term debt, went public two years ago.
Because it recently met the financial criteria, it will soon apply to list on the Nasdaq small-cap market.
Later this month, the company plans to report figures for fiscal 1996. While he said he couldn`t
divulge the 96 revenue figure, he did say he expects this years result to be significantly higher.
Assuming completion of several acquitions, he targets fiscal 1997 revenues of more than $27 million and
fiscal 2001 revenues at $137.9 million.
