No from the looks of it the value of the deal was based on the two companies current market cap. If the investment community views the merger as bullish then both stocks will pop. If we get one half share for a $60 stock then to break even we need $120 share Canadian. Sounds like the new entity will have about 80 million shares out and a fairly tight float with JDS's parent owning a big chunk. Can you spell stock split in six months or so.
