PLEASANTON, CA ? January 28, 1999 ? Leading companies continue to choose

PeopleSoft solutions to run their organizations. PeopleSoft today announced new

licensing agreements with Alameda County, California; California State

Automobile Association; ConAgra, Inc.; Cooper Tire and Rubber Company; J Crew;

The JPM Company; NEC Eluminant Technology; OhioHealth; Meijer; Serta Mattress;

Stein Mart and University California Davis Health Systems.

PeopleSoft added more than 200 customers in the fourth quarter of 1998,

bringing PeopleSoft's total customer count to 2,900 up from 2,200 a year

earlier.
