Yes Del,an act of mercy, they were saved alive. They were not to be killed because the female children were no threat to the people of God. I would help you understand the dynamics at work here,(they are without question), but I fear that my time would be wasted on someone who is biblically illiterate, and who has no desire to understand!

Please, indulge my desire to understand. Or at the very least my desire to see you make an even more thorough ass of yourself.

Two questions:

Why is it that females who had slept with a man were a threat to "the people of God" (bad joke), and those who had not were not? How does sleeping with a man make a woman a threat to anyone?

Do you honestly think that people who could put an entire civilization to the sword were capable of mercy?

But I suppose these are things that only God understands.
