I am not a lawyer and never want to be. By following the events of another company dealing in recapped tires (LOL) and court papers, I noted the following is a sometimes practice.
The court date on the decision by the judge is marked/filed Oct 30, 1998. At the end of the day the clerk goes to the effort of filling out a letter. It is taken then or the next Monday(if it's a Friday) to the post office [If the letter is put in the court pool for typing the letter it takes up to a week(vacation of typist)].When it reaches the post office the certified/registered letter is sent by the postman and depending on the distance takes one to three days to get to the physical address. Immediate or delayed signing by the AOL representative is a day or is up to two weeks(before the post office sends it back as undeliverable).
In summary(?)the recap company got the total benefit of all the time lags available. That was three weeks in their case. They tacked the time on and finally did as the court instructed.
So we may have 3 more weeks on this!?! Does this make sense? If we have definite dates at each step we may find it's due tomorrow morning.
Thanks for allowing me to bend you ear.
