Margaret Elardi is a well-known figure in Nevada where she has owned and operated hotel/casinos for decades. She and her sons bought the Frontier Hotel from the estate of Howard Hughes in 1988. The Frontier was picketed for over six years due to her son's practices, which were criticized by the Governor of Nevada and its two U.S. Senators among others (http://www.igc.org/afscme/publications/public_employee/pema9815.htm). Casino officials allegedly invited Hell's Angel motorcycle gang members to rough up strikers, spied on workers, tapped telephone lines and dumped piles of manure near the picket line. Where did MVIS find this person? And she's on the board now!
