Yes, the Lucent alliance is doing VERY well. Lucent demonstrated their Cajun Switch integration into NDS for all the 200 partners. They actually showed how a PC watching a video over the network experienced heavy network traffic degrade and then by simply going into NDS and telling the user object that it receives a higher QOS standard (Quality of Service) the video returned to normal speed almost instantly!

Lucent also made a clear and direct statement that it is not willing to wait for CISCO's DEN initiative for another 2 years when a mature NDS is available now. The Lucent VP got a loud applause from the partners.

Then lucent announced that they had acquired a company that is already in beta to be NDS enabled and will provide the Lucent switches with DHCP and DNS service from the NDS.

So the Lucent deal is very healthy!

I havent heard anything about Nortel since its announcement.
