I can't believe that venture capital firms would just hand over money without demanding some pretty good equity in return. Would they demand less than QNTM would? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. QNTM already owns 15%, why have still more partners, doesn't that make it messier? Well, I suppose if QNTM bought more, then they might have substantially more say in what happens in TeraStor and McCoy might not be as free to run his own show. My own WAG, probably not worth much.
