Wasn't trying to antagonize when I raised this matter in my post. But, and even though you may have received good and bad advice alike in the past, DB's are not QUALIFIED to provide advice on which stocks to sell or buy. These people have taken the securities course, investment funds Canada courses etc, but they do not know enough about a stock to validate whether its good or bad beyond the fact that volume or share prices are up recently. They don't have access (nor is it their job) to the kinds of DD that individuals must find on their own when deciding to buy a stock. There job is to take your order and execute it and nothing more. Their advice is truly no better than the advice your barber or neighbour gives out on what are the hottest stocks around.
