I spoke to Suncor, Inc.'s investor relations department today and they told me that the announcement on whether Sun will green-light the SPPTY deal will be made at the end of March....while the delay from the original announcement estimate date is frustrating and I think may harm the stock (although the last few days have shown strength)...the fact that they are still going to announce makes me think they just have to dot all the I's and cross the T's....if the deal had been scrapped in my opinion, we would have been told....also, I had read that SUN is considered a takeover target so their management may be preoccupied with this subject and unable to focus on Australian Oil Shale. I sure wish SPPTY would make their own announcement about anything...I am attempting to get an email address or site for the company and will post my results.
