News articles on split mania and the media rasping about splits as an indication of an overextended market gone too far ... balderdash.

While there is typically a period of consolidation after a stock splits, there is not a better explicit expression of confidence in future growth than when a company splits. AOL, INTC, MSFT, SUNW, PFE, BMY and many more to come. See the forest thru the trees.
