Promising removable drive tray solution

Thanks for the Antec removable tray find.

I saw quite a few removable harddrive trays at the Pomona computer show. They started around $13 and none were higher than $20 +/-.

I almost went for a couple but had second thoughts. I figured it would be better to find an online source. I want to swap drives between machines. My guess is that I will need to have trays from the same manufacturer for compatibility reasons. If I want to add to the collection I want to be able to add the same item.

My second consideration is cooling. One of the boxes indicated the tray was rated for a 5400 RPM drive. I assume they are referring to heat considerations. The system is enclosed and it looks to me that heat would build up. Several units had small fans on the back or at least a way to mount a fan on the back.

The price is right on the Antec tray but they do not have a fan. There are cooling vents on the top of the tray ...do you think it is adequate?
