Konrad, With due deference to Bill and other T/A folks, I, too, have skepticm re. technical analysis as a whole, although I think it could work in a situation where there is has bee a predictable regularity as far as the stock prices vs known variables are concerned. At best, T/A is a hybrid of art and pseudo-science. Yet, I still have some curiosity of poking into this game, as I have been told that most traders/money managers embrace this stuff like religion. Knowing the rules of their game, at least I can make an educated guess whether a sudden market reversal is due to fundamentals or technical factors. However, I never buy stocks based upon T/A. Ibexx PS: I have a close relative who is an Oxford-trained mathematician. She taught me a bagful of buzz words (for use at an academic cocktail party.) <g>
