Why do you think the big professional houses make their picks public? They do so to generate momentum behind their ideas.

Well... you raise an interesting issue there. This whole discussion has not been about disclosure. No one, least of all me, says there's anything wrong with disclosure. It's just a question of timing.

Do you honestly think that when Kurlak comes out with a comment that the semi sector is over extended and he sees a pullback that the ML clients haven't been given a heads up in advance? C'mon! It's timing Jim, pure and simple. The big houses share their picks on their web sites, but I'll guarantee you it's not until their sales force has had some time to put the word out to the clients.
