I'd rather see PRs that conclude the deal they had started earlier, such as Second company they are buying, Hebei province deal, or the partnership with Hong Kong jockey club. There are too many deals they said they were pursuing. I just wish they can wrap some of them up before embarking on new ventures. The GuanDong province deal is a surprise to me. I don't know how they are planning to make money with this sports bar club. Who would be the customers? If Gambling is involved, Mainland Chinese citizen are definitely not allowed access. So the logical customer source is from capitalist area, such as Hong Kong, Taiwan. Despite it be a good news, personally I don't think this sports bar club in Mainland China is going to impact their bottomline. GGNC's main revenue, I believe, will have to be generated from their online casinos and online sports book.
I agree, high end gamblers are limited. They have to aim at the masses to make the company successful. Those high end gamblers are already rich enough to afford trips to Las Vegas. And these high rollers are betting millions at a time. They are not the kind of clients GGNC should go after since it can't afford to pay out a million. Instead, GGNC should target average people, not so rich, only afford a bet in 10 or 20 or 100 dollars. And these average people don't have time and money to take a trip to Las Vegas when their craving is up.
The kind of news I like to hear is: 1) Web sites have just been translated to Japanese with Pachinko games fully operational. 2) Informercials and Advertisements campaign is continuing and favorable results have been witnessed. 3) Announced the buy out of XXX corporation. 4) Audited report is just released. GGNC is now in the process of applying for NASDAQ listing. 5) We just hired a CFO, Mr. YYY. |
