Well said Bill. It would be nice to discuss ways to optimize usage of the Cyber platform to improve your trading. Personally, I like the graphical tickers and think that they add value. In my spare time I have been trying to tweak the settings to reflect my trading style and the stocks I am tracking. For executions, I think it very important to learn how to recognize the type of order which gives you the best odds of getting filled at the time. I've found that by using the ECN books, Hammer and Dynamic Ticker in concert with L2, I have a clearer idea of where to try first. In essence, I try to be my own version of the Cybersmart key functions. Do you think I'm wasting energy in the sense that the smart functions would determine the optimal path faster than if I chose it directly? As an example, I've exited positions in fast markets by hitting a bid on ILSD which has the size I needed, but was one level below the inside. I don't think the smart functions try that. Cheers.
