Mike & Earlie:

No question that revenue growth is slowing but it needs to be negative to push the issue. Growth will be touted as growth as long as it is on the plus side. When do you see negative revenue growth and more importantly from the semiconductor side, when do you see negative unit growth in pc's.

Isnt is possible that this storm might just be weathered if unit growth continues to take up the slack in semiconductor capacity. Most unit growth (pc's) in low end but they still take about the same number of chips as a more expensive pc. So unless unit growth drops and goes to zero or negative, it would seem that buying puts on the semi's and semi equip mfgs is likely to be unprofitable for a while. Could just be me because other than the swoon in October, most of my puts have expired worthless.
