How come Barrick is able to continue to extend their offer and hold everyone captive and Argintina can't activate a poison pill? When I look back at all that has transpired since the first of December, it seems as if Barrick is doing everything they can to get their hands on this property. From their prospective it makes sense to buy as cheaply as possible. However, it sure doesn't seem that their's is not a fair value offer. There is a lot of hype surrounding the stock and the potential of the property and some of this is just speculation. If Barrick really wanted the property, they could sweeten their offer to $7.00 - $8.00 and many more people would tender their shares. By playing games, Barrick has just antagonized the share holders.
