Bengalus, yours are typical short seller posts.
Since I presume you are referring to me as the enthusiastic doctor, and please let me know if you are not, let me assure you that I am not the only physician posting here. I am just the only one who is not afraid to use his name. I have stated my position as an investor clearly enough.
You give no personal info about yourself, but your profile tells me plenty. As of 2:53 EST on Jan 29,1999, you have no personal disclosures and and your only posts are on this thread and 2 known short threads (https://www.siliconinvestor.com/subject.aspx?subjectid=19673 and siliconinvestor.com.
Here is your profile: Member 7222268 So, who should be ashamed of themselves?
Briefly, all your numbers don't matter because the product is out there. People on the threads in California and the east coast (Skane) have purchased it. People will use it and decide whether or not it works. If it doesn't this company will fail. If it does, this company will succeed. Whatever the company produced before is almost immaterial. What the company earned before is almost immaterial. This is not pure hype - this is a new product that is already in distribution. Is Apple still a failure because its old products did not sell or because they weren't marketed correctly? Lucent traded at indeterminate P:E's because it had a loss at one time and P:E's over 150 at other times; was it a bad investment? The internet stocks are based on future potential earnings and so is this one.
As for your potential libel of the other physicians on the www.zicam.com web site with comments such as "Clearly, Dr. Grossan has no first hand experience with Zicam", I will just refer your comments to their management and they can deal with you if they chose (your info is legally discoverable and SI has it). Perhaps you can just submit "The Bengalus Criteria" for a quote. You can do that on the www.zicam.com website if you wish. Maybe you have uncovered an "opportunity for improvement". <g>
In any case, my personal comments are my own as an investor and I have stated so in a post here, so I have nothing to be ashamed of just as I post as an investor in CMGI(tech),AVBC (beverages),and other stock threads that happen to not be related to medicine. Many people post anonymously here. Some physicians list their occupation in their profiles but do not have it after their posting name. Some people, like you, are completely anonymous, but your posting history speaks for itself (you could change it now by posting on other boards but the date & times will all be marked as occurring after your last post and after this one - you can't change what you have done). I think people will take this into consideration. Perhaps you just think the stock will go down and are helping people out by showing this potential investment as how you see it.
You are, in my opinion, shortselling this stock and that is your option; but, please do not insult me personally or shame me when I have clearly stated my position as an investor.
This is a great long term investment, in my opinion as an investor. There will be short term ups and downs caused by hype or caused by detractors such as yourself, but this product should establish a new, much higher base for this stock, from which to grow. All stocks go through different phases of growth and this one is headed up, based, in my opinion, on the potential of Zicam. |
