The offer being left open means that ABX doesn't have the shares they want. In fact I would say they got very few because while the poison pill was in place the chances of ABX being successful at $5.00 was slim to none. Now that the BCSC in their wisdom have eliminated the shareholders right plan, ABX is hopeful that many more will get shaken out and tender their shares. In other words they want to really test the ARP shareholders to see how dumb they are.

May I take the liberty of telling them that their offer at $5.00 is a "rip off" NOT ACCEPTABLE. (what part of no did you not understand Barrick) We the shareholders think that ABX must be dumb to keep a non acceptable offer on the table without any hope of it being accepted. ARP shareholders are not dumb. We want fair value for the shares reflective of the known reserves and the very high potential of the unproven reserves if we are going to sell right "now"!!! Either they pay for the prospective area or they wait...simple as that. We can wait. Pay or WAIT til the full value of the reserves are known. Then maybe $20 or $30 would be worth a look.

Now of course any other white night is still free to make a competing offer which does reflect this value and we would be happy to entertain such.

Hang on to your shares folks. This extension is not the last you will hear about this!
