Alan, there is no flaw in your logic. The flaw is in your knowledge of Edelstone.

Report dated Jan 12, 1999:

"We still expect Intel (140, Strong Buy) to introduce its 820 (Code -named Camino) chip set that supports Direct Rambus DRAMs in the second quarter and ramp production in the third quarter. However, the precise timing and magnitude of the ramp will have a meaningful impact on our fourth-quarter fiscal 1999 earnings estimated for Rambus."

Also, Paul Engel on the Intel thread (who has an excellent reputation over there) put water on the fire in regards to a delay in Camino.

So far, through my research, I am confident about NO DELAY in Camino.

Can anyone else come up with anything concrete?

Can anyone say buying opportunity if they can't?

Doug
