The blanks had only been treated to standard fire assays. This is the whole crux of the desert dirt question ... can additional processing release metals not shown by conventional methods? I'll have to admit this is an intriguing thought ... What if "rare and precious" metals were neither rare nor precious and were only deemed so due to the historical ability to extract them? Hmmmmmm
