Subman, I have two main thoughts regarding the scenario of the new leader of NYRR! First! If NYRR was a major conglomerate I would guess that a replacement might very well be in place --or close to it. However, since NYRR is not in that league yet by issuing the recent news announcing Mr. Crawford's retirement--that news release could also have served another purpose namely a recruitement ad. JMO! Secondly! Since in my view it would make some sense to have someone in a closely related field--and with all the changes taking place in the rail industry there may very well be a very strong candidate right in their own back yard--meaning from a competitor or any of the current NYRR Directors---although I have been getting some what impatient lately --I do sense we have a very strong NYRR Management Team currently in place that will be an instant help to the new President and CEO!
