Major General Resources and joint venture partner Ascot Resources have been notified by the NWT
Mineral Resources Office that a one-year extension has been granted on 13 of the prospecting permits
relating to the Victoria Island property. The extension, which was granted under Section 81 of the Canada
Mining Regulations, has delayed the expiry dates for prospecting permits No. 1503, 1504, 1505, 1506,
1507, 1508, 1511, 1513, 1514, 1532, 1533 and 1534 until Jan. 31, 2000. |
