@HOME is one of he models for the future. But ... Sister Sixth Grade, Grandma and Grandpa, and Homer Simpson will not sign up for it just to increase their download speeds. Duh! High speed killer apps are necessary.

High speed content, local caches, and some real high speed apps not practical via modem are the answer. Games is one.

AOL is better situated than anyone on the globe on the local cache side and can bring more eyeballs to high speed content entrepeneurs than anyone. AOL just needs access to the pipes.
