John Intel's chip does not provide encryption -- It simply burns an ID code into the silicon -- and then blasts that ID over the net -- EMBASSY works much differently -- In any case there will never be a successful boycott of PentiumIII at the consumer level -- If its in every BOX that Dell, HP, Compaq et al ship -- do you really think people will stop buying PC's? No. A successful boycott will have to be aimed at the OEM's before they select Pentium III for their box -- I doubt this can be successful given INTC's relationship with OEM's -- but if INTC continues to mishandle the PR problem this is a possibility -- WAVX will benefit from all this in the long run -- Its tech is far superior and it can learn from INTC's PR mistakes -- though someone had to start waking point -- better INTC than us.
