Brian - Re:"Businessweek/Vin Dham"

Although Business Week is a highly regarded publication, it is probably not the authoritative source for Intel's personnel.

Allow me to cite another reference. "Defining Intel: 25 Years/25 Events" is a direct source. It just so happens to be published by Intel Corporation 1n 1993 - I'd say that should be authoritative enough.

This is an oversized document, 11" x 14", 32 pages in length.

On page 15, upper right corner, is the picture of three individuals, with the following caption:

John Crawford - Chief Architect, Intel386 & 486 (and Pentium, I believe), Vin Dham - VP and General Manager of the Microprocessor Divisions 5 & 7, and Avtar Saini, Pentium Processor Design manager.

As noted above, Vin was in a high level management position for the Pentium Development and Avtar Saini held the position of Pentium Design Manager.

John Crawford is the gentlemen who developed the memory management technique, described by the "Crawford" patent, that 486 (and later) processors need for compatability, and therefore require cross licensing (or use of a cross licensed fab) for "legal" manufacturing and production of such devices.
