Lucent Technologies Signs Letter of Intent to Resell Entire FVC.COM Product Line Agreement Takes Advantage of Compatible Technologies for Voice, Video and Data Networks
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- FVC.COM (Nasdaq: FVCX), the leading provider of Next Generation Internet video applications, today announced that Lucent Technologies has signed a letter of intent to purchase and resell the entire line of FVC.COM voice, video and data products. The agreement takes advantage of the synergy between Lucent's IP and broadband network core technology and FVC.COM's broadband NGI videoconferencing, IP video streaming and WAN access expertise.
FVC.COM products fall into three categories: interactive video, streaming and broadcast video, and network access. These products provide a total enterprise solution for video applications across Intranets, the Internet and the Next Generation Internet (NGI). The product lines include WAN access switches, adapters, gateways, video broadcasting and storage servers, call and content management applications and viewers, and Multimedia Operating Software (MOS).

The letter of intent will serve as an interim agreement until a formal agreement is completed.
