That is different issue, sir. That you can change your government "to an extent" is nothing but illusion. In Europe they can do it better.

The countries you are talking about are DEVELOPING countries. They have great many awfully difficult problems; and one of the worse of them (in many countries that you are pointing to) - achieving an actual independence from the countries that were exploiting them centuries.

The Soviet Union, by the way, was but one of such developing countries.

In this regard I would like just to mention this. The South Vietnam was country of fascistic dictatorship -- not any democracy. United States supported that fascistic dictatorship pointing out that it is necessary and will stay in this country until its political and economic problems are resolved. Right... As for the war there, even majority of South Viet-Nameses called it "American war".

Enough of this though.
