yo rick,

i'm still thinking about your predicament. let me add this...

even though you have new lines and "state of the art" equipment installed, i think that you can still have noise on the line that is causing you grief. at least that is what i think i heard the phone company rep say when he came out here to troubleshoot our lines.

if you have tried everything else on the planet, but haven't had a phone guy out, well....

also, what about that modem? knowing your story, you've probably swapped that out two or three times <gg>.
