Have you guys noticed that Dells market cap. That's how much it would cost to buy the whole company is 50% more than Compaq's. That means that the fact or thought that Dell will surpass Compaq in market share is already factored into the price of this thing. I hate to rain on your parade, Dell is a good company, however it has gotten overpriced. Another note. Dell's market cap is nearly 80% of IBM's even though their sales are only a fraction (about 20%) of Big Blues. So maybe Dell will be as big as IBM someday maybe they won't. Problem is that you are paying for it upfront. You take the risk if Dell hicups, or runs into some other type of difficulty. Or if the market gets more competitive (What the Technology Market?)
