Once again you are totally and completely wrong. You wouldn't be paying through the nose like you claim. In fact you'd be getting far and away the best deal with the Xeon systems. Look at:

Notice the $/tpm(c) results??? All 10 of the top 10 systems are Xeon based systems. If you want to download the results spreadsheet you will find that the top 48 are Xeon based systems and 63 of the top 64. As for performance, the second place system is a 64 processor Xeon based Sequent system coming in about 9% behind a 96 processor Alpha system.

So in short, the Xeon offers world class performance at FAR and away the best price. Why do you think they are selling like hotcakes?
