Wrong Tim, I do believe the two main divisions of Gold Ores are 1) Oxides and 2) Sulphides...with that sub division REFRACTORY...ie DDs.
So read what that post of Char dores say about the valuation of the Carlin in Nevada: <<..Surface deposits of the easier to process
oxide ores are being depleted and, increasingly, new production is coming from complex refractory ores that
require pretreatment before the gold can be recovered...>>
See the referance to oxides. The Bonder Clegg Handout from Maxam discusses this more fully...maybe there is a URL this is a gues..got to go:
bondar-clegg.com
Now try:
bondarclegg.com
The spelling is correct anyone else?
bondar.com
clegg.com
The Blue Paleo Channels strike again! Go,,Pssst...Maxam Gold also:
maxamgold.com
so there is a need to understand Paleo Channel Mapping and MMI
technology at xral.com rather sgsgroup.com and their
other affiliate at SGA Lavilin Mobil Metal Ion Technology Group with a
track record of 9 continents, and scores of clients over a decade:
mmigeochem.com ( C - Wamtech Pty Ltd 1996 for MMI Tech).

Look for Mr P-J. G. Saheurs "Guides to Representive Sampling" subject also addressed by Clifton ( USGS Professional Paper 625-C ) ( As is Chucau!)

" Cynanidation. the Method is sucessful because :
1) The Rock is practically free of Cyanocides.
2) the Gold becaomes exposed at relatively coarce grind due to porosity of the rock, and ,
3) Particles are so claen that, in combonitation with minute size , dissolution occures rapidly, indeed , up to 85% in 15 Minutes.
Reliable determination of atleast the recoverable gold content of the rock can ne made by CONVENTIONAL FIRE ASSAY , by AA , and perhaps by OTHER METHODS.
Gold in similar free form , or in organic or INorganic compounds DOWN to the molecular size particles, undoubtedly exists in Alluvium. In none of these forms would the gold be susceptible to Cyanidation , because free particles in alluvium ARE COATD WITH MINERAL SALT!!! ! ( I added the !!! !) and it continues...and thus insulated from solution , and the compounds would NOT REACT. No relaible method of assay for gold in these forms is known at present . "
I say...that is the paly here...IS there now ONE PRESENT? Or NOT...my bet is on a glass half full..well..maybe a third full...right now...what will be told in the future will change mining forever. I truly hope it is positive for all Desert Dirters sake. But, I hope that I will NEVER be affraid to take a PROFIT...now then...and in between.
