I stand by my guess one Q ago regarding the Japanese consumer guys. Once DRAMs are no longer a viable fab fill product, those guys e.g. Sony, Panasonic etc. have no choice but to be full time Dells and Compaqs and farm out all their silicon. As long as they don't go in-house within Japan for protectionist reasons (by the way, if I were them, I would do that), LSI should get their share.

Besides, form Oct cc, Wilf seems to have a keen sense that LSI needs to be in China consumer market too and had been clearly directed some company efforts in that direction as well.

If LSI becomes a major player in consumer in addition to their high end stuff which they will excel at as usual, I don't see too much trouble for $100/share two years down the road.
