my 2 cents worth

saliva tests are mainly screening tests....not 100% accurate
they have a small chance of showing negative results when person is positive and vice versa
blood tests are supposed to be 100% accurate

saliva tests are good for countries like thailand/india/china where masses can be screened and costs little to do that

but for those who indulge in s** with multiple partners....using saliva test will soon become a regular habit in this country

from a financial point....what r the revenues/profits from blood tests
and saliva test
if saliva tests cost as much as a pack of condoms...there is not much to be made in $$ terms

even if u test positive with a saliva test...u will always want to confirm it with a blood test
will insurance companies start using blood test ?
any doctors will to give us their opinion on where the medicare and diagnostics industry is headed ?

again...just my 2 cents worth
