Rock, read the Yahoo board--that's where the experts are--read posts from Kennedy Style Entrepeneur, Hawaii, Drill Seeker, IU Basketball. In the conference call, the CEO specifically stated that the event that would make Net2phone independent was "imminent," and that they were in a quiet period in that regard. No one is sure if there will be an IPO or just a spinoff or both. EZsurf and their ISP business will most likey be a part of it.

Also they announced that there would be an investor, a large media firm. No one knows who--speculation ranges from Softbank to Disney to CBS, whose Marketwatch has been giving IDT very good press lately.

These things will all be announced in the next couple of weeks, IMO, but the time frame has merely been given as "imminent." Rumor has it that the lead underwriter may be Morgan Stanley as they were one of the few large firms that did not downgrade.

People are still not seeing IDT as an Internet stock. When and if they do, it could very easily skyrocket. They are supposedly the leader in Internet telephony. With today's news, they are clearly an international telecom force as well.

Also they announced on the CC that they had a new switch which would rival Lucent's and Ascend's at 1/6 the cost. Out in 3-6 months.
