Colin and Thread,

My accountant insists that i may offset gain
from a non-qualified stock option exercise with
short term capital losses.

My understanding is that NQ stock option gain is
treated as compensation and is part of my W-2. Hence,
could not be offset by a ST capital loss.

Does anybody here know otherwise?

Thanks

Paul
