actually I'm not surprised to hear a "no comment" about Camino. Camino is not a Rambus product but an Intel product. I would venture to guess that Camino questions should be directed at Intel. The fact that Harmon added his comments between announcement and release is actually very positive in my view - he didn't have to say that but he sure as heck wouldn't say something he knew not to be true.

I've spoken to many many people about Rambus and the biggest problem is that nobody really gets it. It's not internet <ggg>, it's not a semiconductor company (contrary to popular belief; just like Microsoft is not an accounting firm even though accounting firms use their software etc etc), it is an IP company which tells Joe Sixpack just about nothing. Hence, analysts should start better describing Rambus to the investors as a Software Company because thats exactly what they are and thats why costs stay flattish and earnings blast through the ceiling.

Actually, maybe Rambus' PR person should sit down one day and explain what kind of company they are in laymans words (using words like Software, Yahoo, Yippi, Low Cost, monopoly, Intel, Ferrari....)

Sorry for rambling, it just bothers me to see so many sell a stock they don't understand to the few that do (because somebody bought a lot of shares this week!).

have a nice week-end
