I once heard Robert Olstein on CNBC give his 10 keys to investing success. One of them was to not let tax considerations affect your sell decisions. My experience has supported this. Almost every time I have hesitated to sell something because I didn't want the tax hit, it has been a mistake. I recently went back and created a portfolio on Yahoo of the stocks I held at the beginning of last year and compared what I would have made with what I actually made. I was amazed at how few of the stocks I still held and the gain was less than half what I actually made. I'll pay 12 - 16% more any day on twice the gain. Have a great weekend. I'm off to watch my son play their cross town rivals in Basketball (currently ranked #1 or 2 in the state.) Should be interesting. We played them even for a half the first time we played this season but then it slipped away. Hoping we do better tonight. It's in our gym this time. Bob
